The piece „It’s Not Quiet In The Void“ is dedicated to delicate sound textures and noises that mark the transition into new acoustic moments. Using a custom modular synthesizer, Annie shapes sonic layers that gradually merge into dense clusters, evolving in dialogue with generative processes. From this gradual process new sound events emerge: soundscapes that enrich and contrast each other, expanding their spectrum before decaying organically. The resulting acoustic microstructures are influenced by the sounds of their sonic surroundings creating a porous boundary between instrument and environment. In this shifting field of resonance, the piece opens an acoustic space in constant search of the impermanent and the unpredictable.
