Annie Ruefenacht is a Swiss-Filipino composer, sound artist and performer working with modular synthesis, spatial sound and embodied performance. Her practice explores the relationship between listening, technology and performative interaction, with a focus on live electronics and experimental sound environments.
Annie’s music has been presented internationally at festivals and institutions including the MATA Festival (NYC), New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, International Computer Music Conference (Shenzhen), ZKM Karlsruhe, IGNM Bern, Gray Area (San Francisco), Heroines of Sound, and Café OTO (London), among others.
Annie holds an M.A. in Sound Arts from the Bern University of the Arts and has studied musicology at the University of Bern.
